Who we Are

BLS is a non-profit organization that started as an intermittent safe motherhood education project in Nyakach Sub-County, Kisumu County-Kenya in 2014. The project gradually grew into a more stable, continuous initiative and expanded into other thematic areas which led to the founding and registration of the organization in October 2016. The organization currently works in areas of maternal and child health, water, sanitation and hygiene, women economic empowerment, and environmental conservation. We also support girls’ education. We work in remote areas, underserved areas with economically disadvantaged women and teenage girls from these strained families who accidentally conceive before completing school, yet have limited access to health services. We implement our projects in Oboch and Siany locations.

Our Team

We have a lean team that volunteer their time to run our programs. This includes a couple of founding directors and a team of Community Health Volunteers.
